Description

This document builds upon the Spanish National Climate Change Adaptation Plan (Plan Nacional de Adaptacin al Cambio Climatico (PNACC)) and represent the Second Work Programme following the EU Green Paper on Adaptation. The Second Work Programme reviews progress made since 2006 under the framework established by the PNACC and sets goals to address climate change adaptation in Spain. It is structured into four lines of action: 1) Sectoral assessment of climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation, 2) Mainstreaming of climate change adaptation into sectoral legislation, 3) Mobilization of key stakeholders (from the public, social and private sector), and 4) Creation of a system of indicators of climate change impacts.
