Objective of the funding programme

The programme supports voluntary measures that contribute to natural climate protection in urban areas while leveraging synergies with climate change mitigation and adaptation. It is structured around four core modules:

  • Conversion to near-natural green space management

  • Tree planting initiatives

  • Creation of natural oases

  • Unsealing and restoration of soil functions

Type of funding

Funding rate (percentage of covered costs)

Up to 80% of eligible costs can be covered by the programme. For financially weak municipalities, funding may be increased to up to 90%.
