REGILIENCE Open Training Session on the EU resilience landscape

The EU funded REGILIENCE project provides a first Open Training Session (OTS) of its series of capacity-building events for regional actors working on adaptation to climate change. The session focuses on the EU resilience landscape and explores highly innovative EU initiatives and projects. It will provide guidance on where to get support with respect to current regional challenges and needs and highlight opportunities to boost regional climate resilience developments.

Johannes Klumpers, DG CLIMA, Head of the EU Mission on Adaptation Secretariat, will give insights into recent developments with respect to the EU Mission on Adaptation and the European landscape on resilience. His intervention will be followed by an introduction of the first Adaptation Mission projects cluster and its results by Guido Schmid, the technical coordinator of the REGILIENCE project. Contractors supporting the Mission Implementation Platform will showcase the offers and activities for regions. The Policy Support Facility of the Covenant of Mayors – Europe will share its experience from past and ongoing activities on climate change adaptation.
