Observatory publications

Dedicated Observatory reports, collaboratively written by the EEA and Observatory Partners, contribute to the development of an authoritative European knowledge base on climate change and human health.

The first joint Observatory report, written in cooperation between the EEA and the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change - Responding to the health risks of climate change in Europe - was published for the launch of the Observatory. A thematic climate-health report focusing on heat and infectious diseases was published by the EEA in 2022. In May 2024, the EEA will publish a climate-health report with a thematic focus on changes in water quantity and quality. Regularly, new climate-health reports with a different thematic focus will be produced, based on knowledge and data created for the Observatory and in collaboration with the Observatory Partners.
