Climateurope2 promotes insightful community discussions on the design, use, quality, business innovation, and policy drivers of climate services. Continuing its series of webstivals and festivals, this next edition will take place on September 19th and 20th, 2024. This webstival will explore what makes a climate service useful, fit for purpose, viable, equitable and transparent. It will also examine how climate services can stimulate transformative climate actions—both mitigation and adaptation—to address the climate crisis.

The webstival will feature plenary sessions with a rich program of topics addressing recent developments, along with a series of parallel deep-dive workshops covering areas such as bridging the financial protection gap, building a health shield, storytelling for municipal services, and procuring innovative climate change services. A novelty of this edition is the inclusion of hands-on sessions, emphasising participant engagement in using and planning climate services. This interactive approach aims to provide practical experience and a deeper understanding of the tools and strategies behind effective climate services.
