Monitoring Adaptation Progress: Experiences from the Austrian Climate Adaptation Regions

The Pilot Programme “Climate Change Adaptation Model Regions for Austria - KLAR!“ offers a process-oriented approach for municipalities to raise awareness for climate change adaptation and implement concrete actions at a regional level. Currently, there are 89 regions with more than 2 million inhabitants throughout Austria.  

As part of the Mission Adaptation Series, this event aims to present the developed monitoring approach based on quantitative and qualitative information. It allows us to review the progress of the KLAR! regions in implementing the measures and to intervene in a controlled manner if the progress is not on the desired course.
