See all EU institutions and bodiesThe EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change has published its latest Activity Report, marking three years of growing momentum in building climate resilience across Europe.
With over 400 regional and local authorities involved, the Mission is supporting communities to turn adaptation plans into concrete action—from restoring floodplains and cooling urban heat islands to launching early-warning systems and community-based solutions.
Tailored support is reaching 145 regions through the Mission Implementation Platform (MIP4Adapt), and more than 70 regions are receiving financial support via projects such as Pathways2Resilience and CLIMAAX. Over 200 demonstration sites are now testing scalable, nature-based and data-driven solutions supported by Mission Projects.
As Europe prepares for the upcoming Climate Adaptation Plan, the Mission continues to empower cities and regions to lead the way—through collaboration, innovation, and shared commitment to a more resilient future.
