ECCA2023 will showcase real-world examples of adaptation measures around state-of-the-art science and research for a climate resilient Europe. Solution-driven programme events will facilitate face-to-face conversations, informal and formal knowledge exchange on leading climate research projects. Face-to-face networking will re-connect existing relations and enable new contacts to be formed with new organisations and personalities that have joined the climate adaption communities since the pandemic.

Key messages from the 6th Nordic Conference on Climate Change Adaptation (NOCCA 2023) will be presented at an European Climate Change Adaptation (ECCA) side event. This side event will discuss and explore measures for mainstreaming climate change adaptation at the local level amongst the European community. All ECCA2023 participants interested in topics such as transboundary risks, nature based solutions, and master planning at the local level are welcome to join the session.

Web-based climate platforms in Europe provide knowledge, tools, guidance, and inspiring examples of their application for climate adaptation. In this session participants will explore how European and national climate knowledge platforms support knowledge transfer.
