Description

This chapter of the IPCC 5th Assessment Report focuses on key economic sectors and services. It synthesizes the available scientific knowledge on the past and future impacts of climate change on these sectors and economic services, resulting vulnerabilities, and adaptation.

In particular, the impacts on all primary economic activities like energy demand, supply and  transport,  all water management related aspects,  transport infrastructure and services etc.)  are described. Furthermore  the impacts on economic activities like insurance and financial services as well as health related activities and market developments are covered.

Key aspects of the vulnerability assessments of these economic activities are being discussed.
