The LIFE SHARA project finishes: Fostering awareness and governance for adaptation to climate change
The EU funded LIFE SHARA project (Sharing awareness and governance of adaptation to climate change), has strengthened the network of collaboration between Spain and Portugal in climate change adaptation. In addition, the generation and transfer of knowledge has been boosted through the creation of a technical platform for adaptation to climate change “AdapteCCA”.

Publication and Report application/x-troff-ms Do governments track the implementation of national climate change adaptation plans? An evidence-based global stocktake of monitoring and evaluation systems
Highlights • More than 60% of countries that adopted a national adaptation plan (NAP) are not tracking its implementation. • 23 countries have published a NAP implementation report and 15 have undertaken a NAP evaluation, almost twice as many as 2017. • Almost 40% of countries reporting on NAP implementation are developing countries but only three are Least Developed Countries. • The number of countries engaged in developing or using mechanisms to track NAP implementation has increased by 40% since 2017. • NAP M&E systems support reporting on adaptation progress under the Global Stocktake of the Paris Agreement.

Policy brief: Stronger together for a climate resilient north – Mainstreaming adaptation to climate change at the local level in the Nordic Countries
The policy brief presents the results of the 6th Nordic Conference of Climate Change Adaptation (NOCCA23): the conference explored the current state of adaptation and the challenges, opportunities, and learnings from the implementation process of adaptation in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Finally, the role of the Nordic Council in accelerating adaptation measures within the Nordic region and beyond is discussed.
