Second Forum of the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change

The European Commission will take stock of the progress of the Mission over the last year and focus on multilevel governance to accelerate change. The Forum should help define better cooperation between national, regional and local authorities to support adaptation, and address how knowledge can help the scaling up of adaptation solutions.

Webinar on the value of urban green and blue spaces for health and well-being

On the occasion of the International Day for Biodiversity, the WHO European Centre for Environment and Health will launch a report “Assessing the value of urban green and blue spaces for health and well-being”. Introduction and opportunities for NbS: reflections from the RECONECT project

6th Nordic Conference on Climate Change Adaptation (NOCCA) 2023

The 6th Nordic Conference on Climate Change Adaptation, NOCCA23’ will be held in Iceland, Reykjavík Grand Hotel on the 17th-19th of April 2023. The conference welcomes all who work on climate change adaptation, within the fields of science, in local communities, governments and municipal administration, in ministries and national authorities, politics, businesses, industry and NGOs. Registration will begin in November 2022.

Webinar on Dengue and Climate Change: Emerging Disease in Non-Endemic Regions

The incidence of dengue has grown dramatically around the world in recent decades. The disease is now endemic in more than 100 countries and is also spreading to non-endemic regions such as Europe, with the threat of explosive outbreaks. This ISTM webinar discusses the differences in the epidemiology of dengue between endemic and non-endemic regions, summarizes the latest outbreaks in European countries, and recognizes the threats posed by climate change and dengue in non-endemic regions.
