The course, organized by the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER) in collaboration with Columbia University, aims to be a flagship initiative to engage and educate the public health and wider health workforce in climate and health. This should empower them to participate and engage in policy and advocacy related to climate adaptation and mitigation as well as in research that supports decision making across sectors.

This course for health professionals, organized by the Portuguese Council for Health and Environment, in partnership with the Portuguese National School of Public Health and international organizations, aims to provide participants with a better understanding of the main environmental determinants of the future population health - including climate change, effective mitigation and adaptation measures, ways to reduce the ecological footprint of the healthcare sector and to make health systems more resilient to these changes, and the responsibility of health professionals in this fight.

SCORE - smart control of the climate resilience in Europian coastal cities is an EU funded Horizon202 project. It outlines a comprehensive strategy, developed via a network of 10 coastal city ‘living labs’ addressing water and climate-related hazards, to enhance coastal city climate resilience. This webinar will focus on the SCORE’s early warning system and digital twin approach to tackle climate change.
