Monitoring & Evaluation
Adaptation is an iterative process that calls for close monitoring and regular review to ensure that it remains effective. Monitoring the effectiveness of adaptation options and plans is likely to be ongoing for years. It is aimed at ensuring that adaptation initiatives are working and to determine whether changes or refinements are needed to respond to new conditions and information. Furthermore, the learning that is derived from monitoring and review can enhance the adaptation process itself.
This step provides access to the growing literature on monitoring climate adaptation.
